Meet the Photographer

Hey, I'm Katie,

a photographer and storyteller with a B.A. in Photo Communications '19 (just a fancy term for photography) and a Certified Professional Photographer certification earned in '22.
My career began at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where I developed a deep appreciation for visual storytelling and the power of art to connect people. From there, I trained with and worked for one of Houston’s leading wedding photography studios, and later transitioned into post-production for a creative agency, creative project managing post-production for major marketing campaigns.
That journey means I understand both the front and back end of the photographic process, from capturing meaningful moments to crafting polished, cohesive visuals that tell a story. Whether I’m photographing people or brands, my approach always begins with getting to know who my clients are and what they hope to see on the other side of the lens.
I believe great photos come from collaboration, trust, and a little play. I’m not about stiff poses or perfection. I’m about capturing the in-between moments that make your story feel alive.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me running my in-home photo studio, Studio 6, or diving into a hands-on project: sewing something new, baking gluten-free goodies, or tackling another renovation on our 46-year-old home. “Chaotic and capable” has become my personal mantra, and it fuels everything I create.
If you’re someone who loves to play, experiment, and tell stories that truly feel like you, I think we’ll make a great team.
